Here are the steps to take before entering the Academy Center
Schedule an Appointment to Visit the Academy Center
Parents visit schools before enrolling their children to get a real feel for the school's environment and facilities, and check if the teaching style, curriculum, and atmosphere match their child's needs and their family values, ensuring a good fit beyond what brochures or websites show.
Allow your Child to Take the Admissions-Qualifying tests
Parents allow their children to participate in pre-admission tests because these tests offer objective data for competitive schools to assess readiness, help identify a child's specific strengths/needs (learning gaps or inborn gift), to ensure the child's is a good fit for the school's programs and curriculum activities.
Academy Staff will inform you of your Child's Class Schedule
Parents need to know their child's class schedule for effective communication with teachers, to support learning at home, ensure safety and logistics (like pick ups and drop offs), understand curriculum, and monitor progress, fostering a safe and stronger home-school partnership.
Parents or Adult Guardians will fill up academy forms
Parents fill out school forms for official admissions to provide essential student info, document family details, national and local educational goals, and give consent, helping schools understand the child's needs, background, and alignment with school values for enrollment, planning, and emergency contacts.
Academy Students take their academy uniforms home
Schools require uniforms as it makes it easy to identify students on campus, field trips, and spot visitors in school ground including intruders, and also to minimize distractions (fashion focus). While some argue uniforms can be costly or limit expressions, uniforms help students focus on academics rather than trends.
Welcome to G.U.T.W.A.Y. Academy Class
Schools require students to be welcomed on the first day to build positive relationships, foster a sense of belonging, boost confidence, improve behavior, and increase academic engagement by creating a warm, inclusive environment where students feel seen and valued from the moment they arrive on first day.
